Benjamin Keough, 27, committed suicide by firearm last Saturday in Calabasas, California.

The young man was the son of Lisa Marie Presley and the grandson of the “King”, Elvis Presley.

The family hadn’t commented before this shared post on Riley’s Instagram account.

“The mornings are the most difficult. I forget that you left. I am not crying because I am afraid of never stopping. Pain that is new to me, ”she wrote.

She then goes there with a long tirade where she describes her brother and where she wishes him to be at peace.

“You. There are no words to describe you. An angel is the only thing I can think of. A luminous being. My little brother. My best friend. A rebellious man. Intellectual. The witness of my life. My soulmate. A protector. You were too sensitive for this difficult world. I hope that you will give me the strength to live with the huge hole that you leave in my heart. I hope you give me the strength to eat. I hope you are lulled by love. I hope you feel my love. I hope you feel God. You are a god. I can’t believe you left me. Not you, dear Ben Ben. Everyone except you. I imagine that’s it, a real pain of love. I hope we will meet again, one day.”

Lisa Marie Presley’s manager, Roger Widynowski, had told AFP that the latter was “completely collapsed, inconsolable and devastated, but she is trying to hold on for her 11-year-old twins and her eldest daughter, Riley”.

Fleeing the spotlight, Benjamin Keough, the only boy in the siblings, almost never appeared in public.

The few rare photos published of him testified to his resemblance to his grandfather, rock’n’roll legend.

“Sometimes I get stuck when I watch it,” Lisa Marie Presley told CMT about her son’s resemblance to Elvis.
