Twitter Inc fired half of its workforce on Friday, and tweets from employees of the social network said the human rights team was among those affected, in what Türk called “not a promising start”.
“Twitter must understand the harm associated with its platform and take steps to eliminate it. Respecting our common human rights must create barriers to the use and development of the platform.
