Hanoi (VNA) – The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced that it will fund liquid oxygen systems for ten other Vietnamese hospitals, the US embassy in Vietnam announced on Tuesday (September 27).

Recently, the installation of USAID-funded liquid oxygen systems in 13 hospitals in five provinces and cities across the country was completed and is expected to help improve patient care with Covid-19 and other respiratory diseases.

The US government is proud to support the Vietnamese government in its response to Covid-19 and in promoting health security. We will provide Vietnam with 10 more of these systems in six more provinces next year to strengthen the country’s health system and save lives, said the national director of theYOU SAID in Vietnam, Aler Grubbs.

The support strengthens long-standing health cooperation between the US and Vietnam as the two countries celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of their global partnership next year, according to the US embassy in Vietnam. –VNA
