Elon Musk unveiled Tesla’s latest project on Thursday. The technology company is working on a humanoid robot. The Tesla Bot will be able to perform repetitive or dangerous tasks and will be designed with the same technology as the company’s self-driving cars.
The Tesla Bot will have five fingers on its hands and will have a black and white androgynous silhouette. “Tesla is certainly the most important robotics company in the world because the cars are semi-conscious robots on wheels, with an on-board computer specifically for autonomous driving,” said Elon Musk. According to Musk, it is therefore a logical step that all this is now cast in a ‘human form’.
Musk unveiled his latest project during an online presentation, which focused on the development of autonomous driving technologies. The aim was to attract new engineers. Watch some excerpts from that presentation in the video above.
