ELECTRONIC MUSIC: Techno programming for the end of the Sirk festival

This Saturday, October 15, Steam will especially welcome “dark techno ambassador”, Helena Hauff.

After 8 evenings, dozens of hours of music and dozens of artists, the 7th edition of the SIRK Festival is almost over. What’s better than closing the festival in La Vapeur, where it started. The circle is complete! To top it off, BPM will accelerate with technology-oriented programming. This Saturday, October 15th, four artists will take control of the main hall of La Vapeur. They will offer a range of sounds and rhythms that will propel the audience into a night that has nothing to envy to Berlin clubs! A last night not to be missed!

PROGRAMMING

A premiere in Dijon, (which will not happen anytime soon), on October 15th, Le SIRK welcomes the headliner of the 7th edition of the festival, the ambassador of dark techno, Helena Hauff! The German DJ and producer has become essential and recently toured the dance floors of the best techno festivals (Nuits Sonores, Sonar, Gottwood …) with her acidic, cutting and industrial sounds. She will be accompanied by Tauceti, the resident of the very sharp Lyon club Le Sucre and by her raw and mental techno. The local scene will also be present with Grímr and his well-known electro live from Dijon. A producer who has already proven himself in many events and places in the capital of the Dukes of Burgundy. Not to mention Konik, one of our residents and his 25 years of experience on the electronic scene.

Its sets full of energy will accompany you until late at night. A powerful and profound closure that will make you travel into your spiritual abyss.

HELENA HAUFF (Werkdiscs / PAN – Hamburg)
Pure product of Golden Pudel, emblematic place of punk and trash of the rebirth of the Hamburg music scene, ambassador of a dark techno tinged with unfiltered electro and icy EBM. Helena Hauff hit hard from her first album in 2015 and excels with her eclectic and uncompromising mixes. Producer of Qualm, album released in 2018 for the huge Ninja Tune label and among the best electronic albums of the last decade. Her sets mix acid, wave and techno with a decidedly punk attitude.

TAUCETI (Raise Agency – Lyon)
A mental and raw techno: this is Tauceti’s recipe to make us stagger in front of the stages, pushing us in a split second into a parallel world. His music is direct and honest, but not ordinary: deep techno, mental and melancholy, but also percussive, structured, raw and industrial, his clever mixes make him a true emerging talent on the French techno scene. Unsurprisingly, the young artist saw herself sharing sets with Phase, Ansome, DJ Stingray, Paula Temple, I Hate Models or Jeff Mills.

KONIK (Risk / Metrohm – Lyon / Dijon)
Producer, remixer and above all DJ, it is on turntables that Konik best shares his vision of electronic music. Colored with his various influences, his mixes are eclectic. Konik loves all electronic music without barriers! After the first 80 titles for the Metrohm record label, Konik released a remix for FEM for the MES Music label last June. First productions that require others. Keep on. He shared turntables and played alongside Jeff Mills, Modeselektor, Anthony Rother, Juan Maclean, Tevatron, Dj Deep …

GRÍMR LIVE (Brown Noise – Dijon)
Grímr is an electronic music producer who frees himself from the codes of new wave and EBM. Born from a cross between the shock of an asteroid and the power of a Testarossa launched at full speed, Grímr is a solo project unveiled for the first time in 2020 by his song “Make Love” during the “Côte de Beat” challenge. His music combines the strength of new wave, the warmth of EBM and the ardor of synthwave to deliver slow, dark and melodic techno. His EP “Instincts” was released on cassette and digitally by the Bruit Marron label. Her first single Amnolite is available on all platforms.
