José Antonio Yépez Ortiz “The Brown“leader of the Cartel of Santa Rosa de Lima, still remains at the disposal of the Guanajuato authorities, the entity in which he was arrested yesterday, so his transfer to Altiplano prison not yet concrete.
Ministerial sources explained that once the proceedings of the State Prosecutor’s Office concluded, for having been arrested in flagrante delicto because he was captured in a building with a kidnapping victim, a local judge must determine the legality of his arrest and his legal situation.
Once this occurs, he will be transferred to the Altiplano federal prison because the General Prosecutor of the Republic (FGR) is pending the completion of an arrest warrant against him for organized crime and theft of hydrocarbons.

As soon as he is transferred, the FGR must make him available to the judge of the State of Mexico who ordered his arrest, who will also decide his legal situation.
