Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is the new old-fashioned RPG made by the original authors of Suikoden, so much so that the Kickstarter campaign of the project it has exceptionally raised half of the necessary funds in just half an hour of starting (incredible but true).
In doing so, the goal of 500 thousand was largely exceeded, allowing the game to go beyond all expectations.
Apparently, the game’s run shows no signs of stopping: the Kickstarter campaign for Eiyuden Chronicle has in fact recently surpassed the 3 million dollars, thus surpassing 24 stretch goals and becoming the ninth most profitable Kickstarter video game campaign of all time (as well as being the video game most supported by Japanese users).
The developers of Rabbit & Bear Studios have therefore announced the arrival of an additional additional character to the game, bringing the total number of heroes to 109.
The director Yoshitaka Murayama he has declared:
The 108th character was born thanks to the various achievements. I am sure some people love this number, like me. But that number was relative to Suikoden. While respecting the number 108, we have decided to overcome it and go further. For this, the 109th character will be chosen thanks to a voting system. We sincerely hope that everyone will continue this journey with us.
The 109th character will then be determined by the choice of fans via a poll in the channel Discord of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, starting August 21 at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET. The concept art of the new hero will be published on social channels shortly after.
Recall that early August, Murayama was able to explain in detail his vision behind Eiyuden Chronicle, that is what they want to offer to gamers all over the world, be it the hardened nostalgic or those who have just approached the genre of JRPG.
Eiyuden Chronicles will arrive on PC and consoles (presumably PS5, Xbox Series X and possibly Switch) during theautumn 2022.
