Eight Hidalgo women from different municipalities will participate this Friday, October 6, in the grand finale of the Universal Hidalgo Mexican beauty pageant.
Whoever wins will have the opportunity to represent the state of Hidalgo in the national event that will take place in the following year 2024.
The director of Mexicana Universal Hidalgo, Chantal Montaño indicated that this concept is a platform not only to see the beauty of women, but also to improve themselves and project themselves to Hidalgo women.
He commented that once the call was launched several young women registered to participate, however, after various tests it was determined that the eight women met all the requirements to choose who will represent Hidalgo in the Mexicana Universal contest at the national level. , directed by former Miss Universe, Lupita Jones.
Chantal Montaño, who participated in this contest in 2013, explained that the participants start in a municipal coordination, from where they are encouraged to achieve the objective of participating in the casting that took place in the month of August and there they passed various tests until achieving be one of the finalists.
The women who participate in the final carry out various previous activities and continue their preparation with verbal and body expression classes, as well as photo and video sessions.
The director of Mexicana Universal Hidalgo indicated that the participants at this moment already have a change in their preparation and way of seeing life, since that is what this contest seeks to have self-knowledge.
The state event is on Friday, October 6, with the presence of Lupita Jones who will crown the winner and represent Hidalgo in the national contest that will possibly take place in April of the following year.
There will be five members of the jury, who will be in charge of watching the performance of the participants, not only on a catwalk, but also their verbal expression and mental agility.
The participants must participate in the following stages: catwalk in a swimsuit, then in a gala dress where the jury will ask the young women a series of questions to determine who will advance to the final and choose the winner.
Once the Hidalgo queen is found, Mexicana Universal Hidalgo will continue with the work of preparing the winner in various topics such as public speaking, nutrition, English, history, physical training, among others, training that will last approximately 8 months.
The women who will compete to take the crown of Mexicana Universal Hidalgo are: Monserrat Villalba from the municipality of Mixquiahuala; Sofia Villa of Ixmiquilpan; Fabiola Rojas de Apan; Fernanda Cruz from Singuilucan; Ruby Moreno from Tulancingo; Alisson García from Tula de Allende, Alessi Hernández from Pachuca, and Ara Reséndiz from Alfajayucan.
In the previous national contest, Hidalgo was in the top 15, in addition to Katia Hernández, who represented the entity, won two special awards, so it is expected that in the next contest in 2024 it will be possible for a Hidalgo native to be among the finalists.
