General Chairperson (Ketum) of Punguan Simbolon dohot Boruna Indonesia (PSBI), Effendi Simbolon, hopes that Indonesia will be led by a reliable figure in 2024. He mentioned the reliable figure in question as the Minister of Defense as well as the general chairman of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto.
“If I have ever said, I see that there should be Prabowo-Prabowo on par now, so the class is the same, if there are 3 classes there are 4, yes, Prabowo’s classmate,” said Effendi after the PSBI opening ceremony at the Arya Hotel Ambassador, Gambir, Friday (7/7/2023).
“That was the question, my personal question, to me personally. I honestly hope that Indonesia will be helmed by a leader who has reliability,” added Effendi.

Effendi said his assessment of Prabowo was objective. Effendi reviewed what Prabowo had said.
“That was said sir Prabowo so great are the nation’s assets, state assets, state assets, but then we are not able to optimize it into something useful. We don’t have anything else to do with stunting, poverty, and so on,” said Effendi.
“Now, I think we can read it, honestly, objectively, I see that figure is in Pak Prabowo,” he continued.
This member of Commission I DPR RI from the PDIP faction does not want to compare figures Prabowo with PDIP presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo. He hopes that Ganjar will continue to fight in the upcoming presidential election. He admits that he is submissive to the decision of the Chairperson of the PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri.
“If Pak Ganjar has been decided by PDIP, I will be there, yes. We hope he will fight in the upcoming presidential election,” said Effendi.
“I don’t want to make comparisons. Mr. Ganjar has already been decided by our chairman. Of course I have to comply with that,” he concluded.
