It was found that taking short-term vitamin C supplements reduced both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Meanwhile, turmeric is considered to have several health benefits due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

The main active ingredient in turmeric is curcumin, which has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. A meta-analysis of 11 studies, published in the journal Pharmacological Research in 2019 revealed that turmeric lowers systolic blood pressure.

While zinc is a trace mineral, meaning the body only needs small amounts. However, studies have shown that zinc deficiency may be associated with high blood pressure.

A 2019 study published in the American Journal of Physiology found that lower-than-normal levels of zinc can cause high blood pressure by changing how the kidneys handle sodium.
