HERMANNSBURG. “Education in times of Corona – A look at India and South Africa” - under this title the Ev.-luth. Missionswerk in Niedersachsen (ELM) in cooperation with the Evangelical Adult Education Nieder-sachsen (EEB) invited to another online seminar of its ELMinar series on December 3rd from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
What happens if children cannot go to school because of the corona situation? What breaks are there in educational biographies when children in the first generation go to school? Is the gap between children from educationally disadvantaged and educationally affine parents growing? What challenges do students face at universities?
The following speakers will comment on these questions:
Dr. Gudrun Löwner, pastor of the German-speaking parishes in Ban-galore and Chennai (Madras) in India and professor at the United Theological College (UTC) in Bangalore and Dr. Joachim Lüdemann, pastor in the Lutheran inner-city parishes of the ELCSA in Durban and regional representative of the ELM in Southern Africa.
