Zeller, who runs the KMZ on a voluntary basis, is a full-time teacher at the state vocational school in Illertissen. His subject combination: economics, Protestant religion and sport. He also teaches German and social studies. The 36-year-old is very interested in dealing with media of all kinds and is already dealing with it every day as part of his teaching assignment at the Illertissen vocational school.

The Kreismedienzentrum – formerly Kreisbildstelle – is currently undergoing a fundamental change. “Digitization and the question of how to deal with the media challenge us. With this in mind, I would like to further develop the district media center, ”Zeller announced.

In his spare time, Zeller sings and plays the trombone in the Unterroth brass band, of which he is also the second chairman. For the association, he also maintains the homepage and appearances in social networks. As a deputy, Hans-Jürgen Montag, who has temporarily headed the KMZ Illertissen since August 1st of this year, will assist the new director.

The district media centers in Illertissen and Neu-Ulm supply all educational institutions in the district with educational media. Lending is free for schools and extracurricular educational institutions. The holdings each contain around 5000 media.

In addition to many digital offers, there are also video films on DVD as well as traditional image and sound carriers, such as 16mm films and slide series. Demonstration devices can also be borrowed. (az)
