Teachers, but also providers of other educational institutions, should be given the opportunity to acquire digital qualifications through training, advice and lectures. It shouldn’t just be about the technical mastery of the various devices.

Equally important is the question of how digital educational content is being pursued Corona can be incorporated into regular school lessons. Accordingly, Thomas Schulze, the head of the State Education Authority in Krumbach and Jürgen Schlieszeit, the head of the district’s previous media center, advertised the establishment of the center. Schlieszeit: “We want to incorporate digital learning tools into future classroom teaching as well.” The location could become a multi-purpose room in the Ichenhausen Middle School.

In a first step this year, just under 80,000 euros would be needed to procure equipment and online licenses for the learning center; part of the total costs would also be expenses for staff, external speakers and the rental of the room. The spokesmen of all district parliamentary groups agreed that the planned center would be an important instrument to keep schools and other educational institutions up to date – also in cooperation with the recently founded inter-municipal association “Digital Schools in the District”.
