The 10th marks the 6th anniversary of the inauguration of President Yoon Seok-yeol. Although it was a short period of just one-tenth of a five-year term, it was an extremely important period as he presented the leadership and laid the foundation for the new government. Those six months, precious to both the people and the government, were wasted by President Yoon, consistently with incompetence, irresponsibility and no vision. The reality that the state government approval rating, which is an indicator of public opinion, fell from the majority (52%, Gallup Korea) when it opened to 29% (Gallup on 4) in six months (Gallup on 4). °), above all means that a significant number of people have given up their trust. President Yoon was elected with the slogan of “restoring fairness and common sense”. Even though he knew the limitations of a novice politician, there was an expectation from the public that he would keep his promise. However, from the outset, they pushed hard to relocate the presidential office and, in personnel affairs, they used prosecutors in key positions and summed up the “old men” of the past Conservative government, thereby violating public opinion. The rumor about his wife, Kim Kun-hee, also continued and time was wasted in the internal party conflict to oust the ruling party leader. She showed the image of a powerful and arrogant man who never apologized for anything wrong, while also destroying his own obvious expressions without responsibility. The “Itaewon disaster” is at the height of the absence of government and leadership. Since his inaugural address, he has stressed “freedom” dozens of times, but no one knows where President Yoon and the government will lead the country. Because they never had a clear vision. The success or failure of a government ultimately depends on its policies. Legislative support from the National Assembly is essential for politics. Although President Yoon talks about unification, he is ignoring cooperation with the opposition party, which is the majority party in the National Assembly. I’ve never had a chance to have a straightforward conversation. Rather, he spent six months provoking opposition with extreme remarks, causing political conflict and worsening relations. Now, the internal and external conditions are worse than when he took office. Tension is at its peak due to North Korea’s successive armed provocations, and the prospects and plans to protect our national interest in the US-China confrontation are extremely uncertain. The suffering of high interest rates and high exchange rates is jeopardizing people’s livelihoods. The economic outlook for next year is more bleak. The role of the president and the government is more urgent than ever. The six months full of trial and error must be used as a mirror to achieve a great change in affairs of state. President Yoon is responsible for ensuring that his failure does not lead to the failure of the nation and the people. Abandoning arrogance and selfishness and restoring people’s lost trust is top priority. The road will only be seen when the president changes.
