The global COVID-19 pandemic has turned the trade fair world upside down. A clear majority of the trade fairs did not even take place in their physical form, at the other trade fairs the number of visitors remained far below expectations. Some fashion fairs have managed to reposition themselves, since then they have been offering online fairs and B2B platforms. In the current circumstances, online sales & marketing is becoming even more important for fashion companies than it already was. Participation in online trade fairs follows this seamlessly. Two companies from Belarus participating in the CBI and ITC Ready to Trade project have recently been preparing for such an online trade fair participation. We would like to introduce Priorstil and Panda from Belarus in more detail.
Priorstil
Priorstil manufactures nightwear, homewear and lingerie and has an extensive product portfolio that includes over 200 styles in various designs and sizes. The portfolio mainly consists of women’s clothing for the night and at home as well as underwear. The exclusive collections are offered as own brands and for other manufacturers. Priorstil recently launched the new Mirolina brand. Mirolina offers beautiful and comfortable nightwear for women that promise peace and relaxation. The Mirolina collection is on its new one website to see.
Priorstil has the opportunity to take part in the online version of the Salon International de la Lingerie trade fair with the new Mirolina brand. The Salon de International de la Lingerie usually takes place in Paris in February but has now developed an online platform called Lingerie Connect. Priorstil is working hard on the preparations for the online fair and is very pleased about this opportunity: “Salon International de la Lingerie is the most important meeting place in the industry. A new brand can present itself here to buyers and potential partners. So we are very happy that we were given such a chance thanks to participation in the CBI program, despite the online format of the exhibition. We consider this form of participation to be progressive and optimal under the current conditions. ”Until February 21st is the Mirolina’s virtual booth visit here.
Panda
Panda is also located in Belarus and has a wide range to offer: children’s clothing, but also clothing for women, as well as evening and bridal wear. Panda is an established name in its own market, but is also sold in Russia and Ukraine. The company’s aim is to export the range of children’s clothing to the EU, among other things. Panda designs children’s clothing for everyday life, with a strong focus on clothing for children who are already going to school. Important details are taken into account in the production of every single piece of children’s clothing: natural fabrics, wearing comfort, sustainable care, quality of custom work and of course current fashion trends. The collections are supplemented every year with new models of elegant dresses and skirts, comfortable sweaters and T-shirts, sports trousers and shorts, tank tops and cardigans. All finished products meet high fashion requirements and quality standards.
Panda’s online sales & marketing strategy is currently being developed. In addition, the brand is geared towards online participation in B2B events for children’s clothing. In this way, the company hopes to meet potential partners and customers even in times of the pandemic.
Ready to Trade
The Ready to Trade project is being implemented by the Centrum ter Bevordering van de Import uit Ontwikkelingslanden (Center for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries) and the International Trade Center CBI and ITC and financed by EU4Business, an initiative for SMEs from the EU’s eastern partner countries. Further information on the company and program as well as contact details are available here to find. The companies can be contacted via the CBI industry expert Carinke Dijkstra: [email protected].
