The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported earthquake on February 25, 2024 which occurred in Bayah, Banten. A number of areas also felt the earthquake shocks, including Jakarta.

The Bayah, Banteng area was rocked by an earthquake on Sunday (25/2/2024) at around 20.07 WIB. The earthquake had a magnitude of M 5.7 with a depth of 10 km.

The location of the earthquake is at coordinates 7.61 degrees South Latitude (LS) and 105.90 degrees East Longitude (BT). The epicenter of the earthquake in Bayah, Banten today was in the sea 85 km southwest of Bayah, Banten.

2. No Tsunami Potential
A M 5.7 earthquake occurred in Bayah, Banten on February 25 2024. BMKG confirmed that the earthquake did not have the potential for a tsunami.
