Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is going to make a comedy series about his own life that will be called the Young Rock. The series will appear on the American channel NBC in 2021.
Young Dwayne Johnson
In Johnson’s new series, the young Dwayne Johnson will be seen in three different periods: as a ten-year-old, fifteen-year-old and eighteen to twenty-year-old. Actor Uli Latukefu, known from the Marco Polo series, will play the young Johnson.
This series will show, among other things, how Johnson received a grant to play American football for the University of Miami. Of course his parents also make an appearance. Ata Johnson, Dwayne’s mom, will be played by Stacey Leilua. The role of Johnson’s father is played by Joseph Lee Anderson, known from SWAT and Harriet.
Poverty
Johnson grew up in poverty and was evicted from his home in Hawaii along with his parents. This made him determined to work hard later on, so that nothing like this would ever happen to him again.
