A Dutchman claims to have hacked American President Donald Trump. Trump used the password ‘maga2020!’ (the oft-used acronym for Trump’s slogan Make America great again) and would not have put in place additional security.

A Dutchman has hacked the Twitter account @realDonaldTrump of US President Donald Trump. This is reported by RTL News. The Dutchman, ethical hacker Victor Gevers, has not sent tweets or viewed private messages, but could have done so. As an ethical hacker, he warns individuals or organizations about vulnerabilities in the hope of remedying them. Gevers contacted the American secret service to report this.
Gevers has already reported many thousands of data leaks and other vulnerabilities on the internet. It took him seven attempts to guess the password of the American president, he argues against Vrij Nederland.
“We have seen no evidence to support this claim,” Twitter said in response to US media.
No extra security
RTL Nieuws and Vrij Nederland were able to see evidence that Gevers had access to Trump’s Twitter. According to the hacker, Trump had not put in place additional security, such as two-step verification.
‘I thought’ oh god ‘when I logged in,’ Gevers tells RTL News. “I just don’t want me to be able to get in, especially not with such an important account.”
It is not the first time that Gevers had access to Trump’s Twitter account. In 2016, he and two friends also managed to gain access. Then the password was ‘yourefired’, which Gevers and his two hacker friends found among leaked LinkedIn passwords.
