Dubai, October 10 / WAM / The Dubai Police General Command, represented by the People of Determination Empowerment Council, continues its participation in the second day of the International Expo for People of Determination, which began yesterday at the Dubai World Trade Center and continues until tomorrow, by highlighting its most prominent programs. And its smart technologies that support people of determination, in addition to organizing a number of workshops and various educational, entertainment and community events.
The services that Dubai Police reviewed on its platform included the therapeutic horse-riding training program service for people of determination, provided by the Al Aweer Mounted Police Station, for horse-riding training to improve the therapeutic level of this category.
The Mounted Police Center has been providing therapeutic training programs for people of determination for years, in cooperation with strategic partners, represented by the Ministry of Community Development, the Community Development Authority, the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and the care and rehabilitation centers for people of determination in the emirate.
The People of Determination Empowerment Council presented to the public the book “Stars of Determination” by Tariq Ziad Qasim from the Security Media Department, in which he documents in the style of a journalistic story the achievements and creativity of Dubai Police employees of people of determination, their personal and professional journey, and the challenges they faced leading to the impressive successes they achieved. And inspiring.
The book “Stars of Determination” includes 14 inspiring journalistic stories, detailing the journey of people of determination in Dubai Police, and the impact of the Dubai Police General Command’s embrace of them in changing the paths of their personal, family and professional lives in a positive way, which contributed to their reaching the podiums in many programs. Excellence, such as the Dubai Government Excellence Programme, the Ministry of Interior Awards, the Commander-in-Chief Award, and many awards at the global level in the career and sports fields. The platform also presented a course on how to deal with people of determination in cases of crises and disasters.
The Council also presented a number of shows, events, and programs directed at people of determination and the community, including parataekwondo shows, a studio for people of determination, the makers’ studio, and educational and awareness workshops on electronic extortion and traffic safety, in addition to performances by the Dubai Police Academy’s musical band, and K9 police dog shows.
