Drunk passenger rioted in AUA plane – Lower Austria

A heavily drunk man rioted on Wednesday in an Austrian Airlines plane in Schwechat. He was arrested. The flight to Belgrade was delayed by almost 50 minutes.

Flight OS 735 from Vienna to Belgrade had to take off late Wednesday afternoon with a delay of around 50 minutes. The reason was a drunk passenger who refused to follow the crew’s instructions.

The machine was already on the way from the parking position to the start. The Serb was no longer calming down and was extremely aggressive on the plane. The cabin crew alerted the police, who took the man off the plane and temporarily arrested him.

“An apparently drunk passenger refused to follow our crew’s instructions. As the passenger did not calm down, the police were alerted, who could finally remove and lead the passenger off the plane. Other passengers and our crew remained unharmed,” explained a spokesman for “Austrian Airlines”.

The man was released at large for resisting state violence. The machine was able to take off with a delay of about 50 minutes.
