Drug trafficking on the Costa del Sol: A network that introduced drugs through the Fuengirola marina falls | BE Malaga | Hour 14 Malaga

The Civil Guard, within the framework of the AZARIEL operation, has dismantled a criminal organization dedicated to the introduction of large quantities of hashish in Spain.

The five members of the network, both those responsible for the organization and those responsible for managing the logistics and distribution of narcotic substances. They are charged with the alleged crimes of drug trafficking, belonging to a criminal organization and smuggling of tobacco products.

The operation started after have knowledge through the Operational Center of Services (COS) of the Malaga Command that a semi-rigid boat occupied by two individuals was transferring numerous bales of hashish to a British-flagged pleasure boat.

Once alerted, the components of the Provincial Maritime Service traveled to the place and intercepted the boat, proceeding to arrest its four crew members and arrest them. seizure of three tons of hashish, 1,590 Scottish pounds in cash and a large number of mobile phones.

After these arrests, the investigations continued, verifying that this organization I had hired the mooring from the boat in the Fuengirola Marina where the drugs were unloaded and later transferred to the United Kingdom.

Two other members of the investigated group were identified from these efforts, turning out to be two British citizens in charge of the logistics of the network. One of them was stopped when driving a van transporting numerous suitcases and sports bags in which 4,595 blister packs of 50 grams each were located and intervened. The other component of the network is currently on the run, with a search and arrest warrant in force.

The investigation directed by the Court of Instruction No. 2 of Fuengirola has been developed by agents belonging to OCON-SUR, the Crime Team Organized and Anti-drug of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police and the Provincial Maritime Service of the Malaga Civil Guard Command, which have had the support of the United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency (NCA).
