The police were notified of the accident along Riksvei 3 at Østre Midteng at 00.03.
It was a front-to-front accident, and the driver of the car was trapped after the collision.
At 00.59, the driver of the car was transported by air ambulance to St. Olav’s trauma reception. The person in question is critically injured, says operations manager Atle Bernhoft van Obstfelder to TV 2.
The police will continue to work on the spot to obtain an overview of what has happened.
– The road is still closed in both directions and we will operate with track safety for a while ahead, says the operations manager.
The driver of the truck is physically unharmed.
