Dresden: It starts on Wednesday – finally cultural summer again!

With the decrease in the corona incidence, cultural life in Dresden is slowly beginning to recover.

Dresden – With the sinking of the Corona incidents cultural life begins in Dresden to slowly recover. The summer promises a lively cultural hustle and bustle, located in the Park Theater in the Great Garden and in the open-air theater Junge Garde. As in the previous year, Dresden’s cultural institutions have come together to get started in the open air.

Aust concerts, boulevard theater, humor zone, barn, Hercules club, bear kennel and music festival make up the main part of the program, and various agencies send pop stars or comedians.

To name a few: Jörg Kachelmann (62) and Angelika Mann (72) will open the summer season in the Parktheater on June 23 as Kachel & Mann on behalf of the Boulevard Theater (Info: parktheater-dresden.de), in the Young Guard (Info: junge-garde.com) the Austrian cabaret artist Lisa Eckart does this on July 3rd, sent by the humor zone.

Uwe Steimle (57) is coming, Rainald Grebe (50), Olaf Schubert (53), die medlz, Jürgen von der Lippe (73), Alligatoah, Felix Lobrecht (32), Maschine & Hassbecker, Saltatio Mortis, Revolverheld, Deine Lakaien, Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen (53) and Peter Maffay (71) twice.

The list goes on. A total of 55 events are pending before Matthias Reim (63) intones the Kehraus on October 1st and 2nd.

“We are happy that things are finally going again,” says concert promoter Rodney Aust (49), leaseholder and operator of the Junge Garde. This sentence was said once before, a year ago, when it was assumed – incorrectly – that Corona would soon be over.

In view of the vaccination progress, the situation this year is much more promising. In all seriousness, the organizers do not expect a “fourth wave” to undo all life again. Nevertheless, something has changed compared to the previous year, the concert promoter has determined. Aust: “Last year, after the first lockdown, people were more enthusiastic. We have noticed that the Corona restrictions have not passed them by without a trace since then.”

Some restrictions remain. So there is still compulsory testing, as is the recording of contacts, the space available is reduced. Further information about this and the line-up of the artists can be found on the venues’ websites.
