The number of corona cases has developed so rapidly in the past few days that the seven-day incidence (cases of the past seven days per 100,000 inhabitants) on Friday is 57.

According to the definition of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), Dresden is therefore a corona risk area.

From Tuesday, October 27 at midnight, there is a stricter mask requirement in Dresden in certain public places, where the minimum distance of 1.5 meters to strangers is not always to be observed and a curfew (from 10 p.m.) for the catering trade.

“The later entry into force was chosen to give the citizens a transition period and an opportunity for inquiries at the beginning of the coming week,” says the city of Dresden.

On Friday afternoon, Saxony’s capital now announced where the new obligation to wear mouth and nose protection applies:

  • “In the busy inner city locations according to the general disposal card, always from Monday through Saturday in the period from 7.30 a.m. to 4 a.m. the following day. This does not apply to locomotion by bike or jogging, i.e. locomotion without lingering. “This affects parts of the New and the old town.
  • “In all rooms open to the public with regular public traffic, especially in Shopping centers, tourist accommodation (Traffic and communal areas, dining rooms until reaching the square), Museums and public administrations.
  • “In all dining facilities, including snack bars and cafés. If the catering facility has seating, it is necessary to carry it until the space is reached. It is not necessary to wear a face-to-face mask on the seat itself. “
  • “In Churches and rooms of religious communities and at Sports competitions with an audience (Except for the area of leisure and popular sports with a visitor number of up to 50 people) and at Trade fairs, in meeting and convention centers and at cultural events, especially in Theaters, musical theaters, cinemas, concert halls, concert venues, opera houses, music clubs (without dance), Circuses. This also applies during the performance. “
  • “At Sports and major events as well as meetings and gatherings in public spaces (e.g. citizens’ meetings). “
  • “In School buildings and also on the premises of schools, with the exception of teaching and outdoor activities. The exceptions according to the Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance for groups or classes continue to apply. Persons who, contrary to this obligation, do not wear a mouth and nose cover in the school building or on the school premises are prohibited from staying there. “

The city also announced the following:

“From now on, it is mandatory to wear a face-to-face mask outdoors in the following areas: An Stops public transport and in Train stations as well as on Weekly markets regardless of the time. “

However, that is by far not all! The city of Dresden limits the number of people at meetings of all kinds even more severely:

  • Private gatherings and celebrations as well as family celebrations in restaurants or rooms provided by third parties: maximum 10 people “.
  • Company and club celebrations: maximum 10 people “.
  • Major and sporting events: maximum 100 people “.
  • Meetings and gatherings in public spaces: maximum 100 people. This does not apply to meetings under the law of assembly. There are separate regulations here. The restrictions on the number of people do not apply to facilities with an approved hygiene concept. Here the hygiene concept and the protective measures named therein are decisive. “
  • Specifically, this means: “This applies, for example, to concert venues, cinemas and theaters. The hygiene concepts that have already been approved remain valid without re-submitting them to the health department if the following conditions are also observed: data collection …, mouth and nose covering for the entire duration of the stay, including performance, mandatory compliance with a minimum distance according to the regulations of the general decree. “

There is also one Curfew and no alcohol: “Bars and restaurants are from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to close the following day. Alcoholic beverages and drinks containing alcohol are not allowed to be dispensed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following day. This applies to all facilities, including restaurants and retail outlets. “

Meetings in the sense of the right of assembly: “The wearing of a mouth and nose covering is ordered for all congregation participants and organizing forces. In addition, only fixed assemblies are permitted and elevators are prohibited. In addition, the upper limit for the number of meeting participants is an area of four square meters per person in order to better guarantee the distances between the participants. ”

Prostitution sites: “The opening and operation of prostitution centers and similar institutions is prohibited “.

Health and social care institutions: “Facilities such as nursing homes for the elderly, hospitals and facilities for the disabled are required to introduce strict visiting times and regulations to reduce the number of visits, if this is not already practiced. The aim is to avoid entry in facilities with groups of people in need of protection. ”

In the past few days, the spread of corona in Dresden has increased at high speed. Up to 50 new infections in 24 hours were recorded by the health department. Recently, more and more cases of the past few days were recorded in the statistics of the city administration. This could be a sign that the health department was no longer up to date with processing the cases.

It was already apparent that Dresden would now exceed the critical value. The “lockdown light” is now just around the corner.
