Donation approved for the Los Cabos Women’s Institute

This July 28 in an extraordinary session, the Building Body unanimously approved the donation of a fraction of 2500 m2 for the construction and building of offices for the Institute of Women of the Municipality of Los Cabos, and it was approved that the City of Los Cabos will carry out the sale of the real estate located in the Miraflores delegation where today the Civil Protection and Public Services coordinations are located.

The first point of agreement, presented by Mayor Cabeña consisted of the modification of the executive project for the construction of a wastewater pressure emitter with HDPE pipe originally thermofused from 20 “to a 16” nominal diameter which retained its roof. budget of $ 7,635,000.00 for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Santa Rosa neighborhood.

As a second point, the Municipal Trustee requested the restitution of 589.97 m2 in favor of the citizen Roque Filberto Orduñez Valdez himself who was affected by the Los Cabos City Council in past administrations with the loss of two properties of his property before the construction of a school and the demarcation of a street.

“This Sindicatura considers it feasible that the restitution in favor of citizen Roque Filberto Orduñez Valdez, is carried out by disabling the road that is currently in disuse for an area of 589.87 m2 in block 24 of the Cerro de Los Venados neighborhood in Cabo San Lucas BCS ”, He mentioned.

The foregoing came into discussion after Councilor Belmar Pimentel stated that, although he was in favor of reversing damage caused to a citizen, he did not understand why 589.97 m2 is being returned when the damage was for 357.91 m ”to which the Receiver stated that the affectation consisted of two properties of 240m2 each, therefore, the damage could be reversed with a property located in the same area, despite whichever is more is due to the fact that it was not feasible to leave a fraction of the land in disuse .

Despite the disagreement of the councilor Irene Román, who voted against the point, it was approved by a majority.

Likewise, the trustee Mario Alejandro Fernández Briseño presented the proposal so that he could donate a fraction of a hectare of the property called “La Laguna” located in the Los Cangrejos neighborhood for the construction and construction of offices for the Institute of Women of the Municipality of Los Cabos, which was unanimously approved after making small modifications such as that the maximum time for the construction of the project to begin before returning the land to the City Council is 3 years instead of 2 years, coupled with the fact that the fraction donated was 2,500. m2 instead of 1 hectare this in order to make it easier to create an initial project.

In addition, Fernández Briseño presented a point of agreement so that the Los Cabos City Council could carry out the sale of the real estate owned by Fifonade, located in the Miraflores delegation where today the Civil Protection and Public Services coordinators are located.

Although the point was approved, this was with three votes against because both the councilor Belmar Pimental, Tabita Rodríguez and Irene Román did not agree that a purchase that had no price or at least an appraisal would be authorized.

The person in charge of explaining the negotiation terms with the Trust Fund for the Ejidal Development (Fifonafe) was in charge of Rosa Delia Cota Montaño who explained that there are currently individuals interested in the property, however, Fifonafe, seeking to give priority to the City Council for So much right for occupying the area since 2006, it requests the promise of purchase for after the appraisal that the National Administration and Appraisals Institute (Indavi) will carry out the transaction is completed.

Finally, it should be noted that the order of the day had two more points which were also presented by the Municipal Trustee himself who requested to lower them after ensuring that he is being defamed, therefore, he will first make them known to the population so that they can know the subject and issue his judgment and after that, he will present them to the plenary session.

These points were in reference to the revocation of the agreement presented by the Urban Development, Planning, Ecology and Environment Building Commission, which restricted access to the coastal area, beaches and dunes for businesses related to buggy tours, ATVs, horses. among others; as well as the extinction of the Municipal Committee of the Network for the Protection of the Sea Turtle to make way for the installation of the Municipal Commission of Ecology.
