WE JASE AROUND A GOOD CIGAR

I was very lucky to recently play a round of golf with one of my former students, in this case Mathilde Grisé, who was accompanied for the occasion by her lover, Guillaume Joly. The two lovebirds met while attending Laval University.

Daughter of businessman Carl Grisé and his lovely wife, Christine Paquet, Mathilde, now in her mid-twenties – as time flies, it seems to me that I was teaching her yesterday! -, occupies a position of industrial engineer on behalf of Agropur. One of his tasks is to bring his expertise to the employees of the multinational’s factories across the country, from coast to coast.

A young woman who has always stood out from her colleagues because of her excellent critical judgment and her great maturity, Mathilde will have a very successful career in her field of activity, I am convinced of it.

At least that’s what I wish her, she who told me to spin the perfect happiness with Guillaume, who left the region of Montérégie-Ouest (he comes from Vaudreuil) to follow his sweet life here, in Haute-Yamaska.

As for her golf, do not be surprised if in a while you hear the name of Mathilde Grisé among those of our best amateur golfers. With her full swing, the one who has always had an athletic figure might surprise more than one.

Know that your old teacher is proud of you.

Still on the subject of last week’s column, I received a dozen emails and calls concerning my text on Stéphane Scotto, who has just left his position of general manager with the Valleyfield Braves.

Among them, let us note those of the commissioner of the LHJAAAQ, Kevin Figsby, of the scout of the Central of the LHJMQ “Fred” Simard as well as of my inseparable friend Luc Mercier.

Please know that I greatly appreciated your comments, you, my three chums. Very high class!
