Minister of Justice Nicole Belloubet has announced that she wants to create a national steering committee
in order to develop protection orders for women victims of domestic violence, in an interview with the Journal du Dimanche.
The minister is to launch this committee on Tuesday – the day the Senate examines an LREM bill to protect victims of domestic violence – in order to raise awareness of these orders, which prohibit an abusive spouse from entering in relation to a woman victim or her relatives.
The Keeper of the Seals reported that 4,000 orders were requested in 2019 more than 20% compared to 2018
