Dog was stuck on a mountain ledge

E18 at Horten was closed in a field at 9 pm on Sunday night.

The police state that the reason for the closure of one field on the motorway is that they are working to bring down a dog that is stuck on a mountain ledge.

Not long after, the police state that both fields are closed, while the dog is taken down by ladder.

Just before 10 pm on Sunday, the rescue crews have managed to rescue the dog and the motorway is again open for traffic.

The dog had run away from its owner at Skoppum in Horten.

Deputy fire chief Donald J. Bell in Vestfold inter-municipal fire service talks about the rescue operation.

– We closed E18, backed the lift into position and after a short time the dog was safely in the basket reunited with a well-satisfied owner, Bell says.
