At just nine weeks old, Moo came to live with his mistress Victoria in Miami. Today the four-legged friend is over a year old – and a real internet celebrity. And above all because of its unusual fur pattern: The dachshund looks like a mix between a dachshund, a dalmatian and a cow. Look for yourself!
Dog “Moo”: This four-legged friend inspires with its extraordinary appearance
Dachshund Moo is something very special: the young dog has a strongly piebald coat from the neck down, which is reminiscent of the pattern of a Dalmatian or even that of a cow. This is where its name comes from: “Moo” is supposed to be reminiscent of the sound of a cow.
In contrast to a completely black and brown head, it almost looks as if both body parts don’t quite belong together. “Many people think at first glance that he is wearing a jacket or pajamas and are then surprised to find out that it is actually just his natural fur pattern,” reports owner Victoria the Daily Mail.

Internet star on four paws
The more than 60,000 fans on Instagram are overwhelmed with enthusiasm: “What a beautiful, beautiful dog” and “Moo, you are the cutest doggy”, it says in the comments on his Instagram photos, some of which have received over 10,000 likes.
Even when walking, passers-by cannot take their eyes off the cute four-legged friend inside. Victoria told the Daily Mail, “We get stopped on the street a lot. People ask about him or want to take a picture of him. He’s a really special puppy. He’s our little star.”
Moo has helped many through the lockdown
Victoria and her boyfriend brought Moo to life in April 2020. With his cuddly and cheeky manner, he helped her and his fans through the difficult time in lockdown.
“My boyfriend and I always wanted to have a dachshund. Without Covid we probably wouldn’t have got a dog because we weren’t at home that often. It’s true that hard times can also bring something nice with them,” Victoria told the Daily Mail .
During the pandemic, many people had time, boredom and longing for some animal company. The demand for dogs, cats and small animals increased dramatically at the beginning of the lockdown. But what happens to pets after the lockdown? Animal shelters are currently experiencing an overwhelming wave of returns.
Pets keep becoming celebrities: these cats are real internet stars!
There are also funny dog videos on the Internet like a dime a dozen. A study has now shown which breed of dog makes people laugh particularly often.
