Doctor says people who haven’t had Covid-19 have no friends

On March 16, Doctor Ma Sang-Hyuk suggested via a Facebook post that people without friends were able to avoid being infected with Covid-19. A publication that did not fail to ignite the web. For or against, this theory, the subject is debated.

Since the end of wearing a mask in places of entertainment or businesses on March 14, we have seen an increase in Covid contaminations. Moreover, the World Health Organization has judged that this was the consequence of the too rapid lifting of certain restrictions. Indeed, there are on average 100,000 cases detected daily in France.

But since the start of the health crisis, some have slipped through the cracks and have never been infected with the virus. While some believe that certain blood groups are more resistant than others, recently Dr. Ma Sang-Hyuk said that people who have never had Covid-19 simply have few friends and relations.

A link between relationship problems and Covid-19

Indeed, the doctor thus declared that: “those who have not yet had Covid-19 are those who have relationship problems”. In saying this, Dr. Ma Sang-Hyuk, Vice President of the Korean Vaccine Society highlighted via Facebook the link between social relations and Covid-19. The Facebook post, posted on March 16, transcribed by The Korea Herals on March 22, 2022, has since been deleted, but at the time of its publication, social networks were on fire.

A real controversy on social networks

On the networks, two teams compete. We can first see on Twitter the people who agree with the professor’s statements: “That’s why I never had him, he’s right”, “I don’t have any friends , it’s true”, “I never had it, it confirms what he said”. Conversely, others highlight the inconsistency of the specialist’s words: “I am a caregiver, I worked with Covid-19 and I never had it, anything this doctor”, ” I have no friends and I had the Covid-19”, “He must not have any friends to have time to get this doctor out of bullshit”.

Professor Ma Sang-Hyuk told him in an interview in the New Daily that it was only a “metaphorical” analysis.
