Do you think I would be here if Slavia was racist? Olayinka defended the team

Nigerian footballer Peter Olayinka stood up for the Prague Slavia team on his profile on the social network, when one of the fans called him racist.

After a strongly negative and one-sided campaign by the British media following the case of Ondřej Kudely, the opinion of most foreign fans is unshakable: Slavia Prague is a club full of racists.

A similar opinion was expressed under Saturday’s contribution by Peter Olayinka on his Instagram account. He posted photos of retaliation against Arsenal and wrote, “I would like to send a big thank you to the almighty God and thank everyone for their support, love and concern. It was amazing. Another great lesson for us, but we move on, we look ahead.”

One of the fans wrote off the 25-year-old stitched support. “Dude, I’m proud of you, but I wonder how you can function in the midst of those racist players.”

“What do you mean?” Olayinka responded, after which his supporter mentioned the incident from the match against the Rangers. “Okay bro, but do you believe I’d stay in a club for three great years if they were really racists?” the Nigerian winger explained. “You’re actually right,” the fan admitted.

Olayink’s gesture was appreciated by hundreds of people and was also highlighted on Twitter by the chairman of the board of Slavia, Jaroslav Tvrdík.

Kudel’s swearing certainly had no racist subtext, we proved that he has extremely bad English, says René Cienciala. | Video: Michael Rozsypal
