Djoko Tjandra Official Status of Guided Residents Page all

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.comPolice Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) submits convicted case transfer of claim rights (assignment) Bank Bali Djoko Tjandra to the Attorney General’s Office.

Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes Ali Mukartono said, after the process of submitting the status of Djoko Tjandra has now officially become a prisoner or prisoner.

“With this execution, the status is changed, the convict will become a prisoner, which is the responsibility of the Directorate General of Lapas,” Ali said in a press conference broadcast by Kompas TV on Friday.

On the same occasion, Head of the Criminal Investigation Agency ( Kabareskrim) Komjen (Gender) Listyo Sigit Prabowo said, it still needs to conduct an examination related to the Djoko Tjandra escape case involving a number of law enforcement officers.

According to Listyo, the placement of Djoko Tjandra in the Salemba Branch Detention Center at the National Police Headquarters will make it easier to continue further investigations and investigations.

In addition, the Criminal Investigation Body is investigating the alleged flow of funds from Djoko Tjandra to those suspected of helping fugitives.

“Regarding the entry and exit of brother Djoko Tjandra and also for the purposes of other examinations, at this time, the person concerned is left at the Salemba detention center in the National Police Headquarters,” said Listyo.

“This makes it easy for Bareskrim to conduct further investigations and investigations,” he said.

Djoko Tjandra’s case began when the Director of PT Era Giat Prima was charged multiple layers with the Public Prosecutor Ridwan Moekiat, as reported by Kompas Daily, February 24, 2000.

In the primary indictment, Djoko was charged with committing a criminal act of corruption in connection with the disbursement of Bank Bali bills through a cessie which cost the country Rp 940 billion.

However, the South Jakarta District Court Panel of Judges chaired by R Soenarto decided not to accept the prosecutor’s indictment.

Then, in October 2008 the Prosecutor’s Office submitted a PK to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court accepted and declared Djoko Tjandra guilty.

Djoko was sentenced to two years in prison and had to pay a fine of Rp. 15 million and his money at Bank Bali in the amount of Rp. 546 billion was confiscated for the state.

The day before the Supreme Court ruling in June 2009, Djoko allegedly fled leaving Indonesia by chartered plane from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Djoko Tjandra was later found to have moved citizenship to Papua New Guinea in June 2012. However, the transfer of citizenship status was invalid because Djoko still had legal problems in Indonesia.

News Djoko Tjandra came to the fore again after he attempted to conduct a Review (PK) around June – July 2020 to the South Jakarta District Court. In fact, Djoko is known to have been in Indonesia.

He had made an electronic ID card and passport so he could register PK to court. After that, Djoko left Indonesia. Finally, he is known to be in Malaysia.

Finally, Djoko Tjandra was arrested and arrived in Jakarta on Thursday (07/30/2020) night. In Kompas TV, Djoko arrived aboard the Embraer ERJ 135 aircraft with PK RJP registration number.

Djoko Tjandra was seen wearing an orange shirt and wearing a mask. After arriving at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Djoko was immediately taken to the Police Headquarters Criminal Investigation Unit.
