Disrespectful Cleaning of Remains: Family Speaks Out After Homeless Woman’s Tragic Accident

Relatives of a homeless woman who died in an accident speak of disrespectful cleaning of her remains.

In the American city of Modesto, California, a 27-year-old woman was found dead, who was homeless and fell asleep in a local park during landscaping work. She died when she was run over by a lawn mower.

A spokeswoman for the Modesto Police Department said an officer saw the body of the deceased as he drove through a place where she was sleeping in tall grass. He called 911 and reported that he did not see the sleeping woman.

The accident victim was identified as 27-year-old Christine Chavez, who had no permanent residence. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fox 40 edition reportedthat the grief of the family members of the deceased was heightened by what they called the “disrespectful, unsuccessful cleaning” of her remains.

The father of the deceased said that he found pieces of bones, skull and teeth of his daughter at the scene of the tragedy even a few days after her death.
