Disney shifts Kingsman spy movie prequel to 2021 | NOW

Disney has released the The King’s Man, the prequel to the two Kingsmanspy films, postponed to 2021. The film was actually planned to hit theaters in September.

According to Variety the release date in the US has been moved to February 26, 2021. Due to the uncertainties surrounding the corona crisis, Disney probably does not want to take any risks and therefore postpone the release by half a year.

Disney has already postponed several major films due to the pandemic. For example, the live action version of Mulan screen in the summer, but instead the film will be available from September on streaming service Disney +.

Incidentally, it is not the first time The King’s Man is postponed. Originally, the film was scheduled to premiere in November 2019.

Rocketmanactor Taron Egerton starred in the first two Kingsmanmovies. He will not be returning for the third part, which is again directed by Matthew Vaughn. Gemma Arterton, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Matthew Goode and Ralph Fiennes star.
