Disco Elysium: ZA / UM confirms translation into six languages, including French – News

Last November, the Estonian studio ZA / UM announced the arrival of a translation “into several European languages” for Disco Elysium, RPG whose script contains more than a million words. We now know more about it: French, German, Korean, Spanish, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese, here are the languages for the moment concerned.

The information is confirmed by the developers through a post posted on Steam. It is specified that the translations into French and German are managed by the company Testronic Labs, which has previously worked with 2K Games, Blizzard, Capcom, Nintendo or Ubisoft. The other four are entrusted to “dedicated fan teams” carefully chosen by ZA / UM. The studio has set up a dedicated website on which we can follow in real time the progress of these translations. For French (5%), we will obviously have to be patient. It is also possible to vote to choose the next translation that will be started.

In addition to this announcement, the “Working Class” update has been deployed to allow Disco Elysium to run on older machines. Here are the new minimum requirements:

  • PC: Windows 7, DirectX 11 compatible graphics card (integrated or dedicated with at least 512MB of memory), 2 GB of RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 20 GB of disk space
