According to Los Angeles, California police, the 36-year-old was on a marked crosswalk when he was suddenly hit by a drunk Lexus driver traveling the wrong way on a one-way street.
“He literally threw him in the air,” the officers describe.
Jonathan Gales could not be saved. Besides him, another person was injured in the accident. The driver of the Lexus tried to flee, but first collided head-on with another vehicle and was then stopped by witnesses of the tragedy. Currently, the 39-year-old perpetrator of the incident is in custody.

In 2020, Jonathan Gales won the prestigious BAFTA (British Academy Award) for his work. The judging panel appreciated his trailer of the Tokyo Olympic Games.
“He was a thoughtful, thoughtful and loving husband and father. He had an energetic personality and was fascinated by world cultural heritage. He had many, many friends who, along with his immediate and extended family, will miss him terribly,” said the father by Jonathan, James.
