The 11-year-old boy who crashed into a stone wall while riding a bicycle in Venda Nova, Montalegre, died on 1 January.

When firefighters arrived at the scene they found the boy “unconscious, with various injuries, particularly on the head,” said the commander, stressing that the prognosis was “very reserved”.

Luís Carlos Gomes was transported to the São João Hospital, in Porto, in a Salto fire brigade ambulance, with the support of the Montalegre Volunteer Fire Brigade Immediate Life Support (SIV) ambulance. This Tuesday died.
