Between the disciples of Serigne Saliou Thioune and those of Sokhna Aïda Diallo, the disenchantment goes from bad to worse. A violent pitched battle took place yesterday between the two camps. Two people were seriously injured in the head and arm respectively. A complaint was lodged by relatives of the lady. Police have now arrested two people and started an investigation.
At the time of this writing, we are told that Serigne Saliou Thioune, officially recognized by Touba as being the Caliph of the spiritual guide of the Thiantacones, is on the way to Touba where he will have to meet his disciples and make some readjustments. To be continued …
