This was stated by actress Diana Dimitrova in the program “120 minutes” on bTV, who reported on Facebook a few days ago that she was the victim of physical violence on the set 5 years ago, and the prosecutor’s office denounces the case itself.
The actress reported that during bTV’s Central Newscast on Tuesday, she received a Viber message from the person, which was later deleted.
She said how it all happened:
“The night before it happened, he called me on the phone, screaming hysterically, the words are mean, but it was related to my past, as I am from a Kaynardja village – ‘I will beat you, I will ruin your career, only for many years I blamed myself that the problem was with me when I wanted to find out the answer to the question why the person threatened me in the evening and said: “You show up on the field and I will beat you. ” I wanted to find out why. I made the mistake of not listening my intuition and follow the person in the dressing room from a room within 2 minutes”.
According to her, at that moment he walked past her and slammed her against the wall:
“He slammed me against the wall, he lifted me up, I could see everything real slow, I fell to the floor, knocked some coat hangers off. I looked at the guy because I couldn’t believe this was the guy I respect and work with. Then he kicked me with all the masculine power he had, in the face with a man’s shoe. It was a constant blow in the face. He slammed the door, cursing me about my origin and “congratulating” my parents, my mother. After 15-20 seconds, three people came and found me in this condition and a lunch break was announced,” added Diana Dimitrova.
She said her relationship with the attacker was more than collegiate and friendly, but it was a secret.
“Nobody wants to bang the drum when they get into a relationship. I don’t think there was tension, there was no tension,” she said, making it clear that there was after impact.
Diana Dimitrova also announced those days after the violence there was also another threat:
“The other threat came a few days later in front of colleagues, with the other crew we were shooting with, we had to discuss camera position. I told the director my teeth hurt, the person said, ‘Keep it going to speak and I will do it again”.

“I had decided that I was going to have a medical visit, so I took the photos and sent them to a friend of mine, and I thought I’d tell him: start the car and come and get me, let’s go to the hospital. I had to wait to talk to a other person. This person manipulated me with words: what will you get. I was an aspiring actress who went to castings for 2 years, things didn’t happen, but I said to myself – Go on. I wanted to show talent, how can I develop it , improve. I felt guilty,” said Diana Dimitrova.
“It wasn’t easy, but in these days another rumor has reached me that in these years the person tells other stories in the actors’ guild. 2017 the beating happened, 2018 we met again on the set, the face greeted me with a smile, we shook hands, as it was summer. A little later the person called me and said: “Nikki wants your contact to meet a little girl, she is adopted, she really likes you and wants to meet you. Can I have your number’. We had the meeting, I went to Niki Sotirov’s house, I gave him a book, we took some pictures. Today she gave me very good news, but now is not the time, ”added the actress.
Diana Dimitrova added that if her attacker apologized, she would be relieved. “When I saw the person realize what she had done, maybe I would have been relieved.”

Diana Dimitrova announced that by the end of the show she will reveal the person who attacked her. She has clarified that she is not in contact with this person and is not in her field of vision of her.
“There is a preliminary proceeding and I have no right to say the name, but since I know there are many smart people in Bulgaria, I want to ask them to read between the lines. I will say the name by the end of our conversation. The details are important. (…) I was watching another TV. Journalists and presenters discussed Santa Claus or Father Christmas live. I am a child of transition, I was born in the year 90, I strongly believe in Santa Claus, because Santa Claus comes from another place. All the month of July this year I have been painting for an exhibition, I want to invite people next year, March, to come and see my exhibition, I am already painting with colors too.”

My conscience cannot bear that someone could allow this atrocity and be covered up by an entire city. Ask these people who live in Pernik: why were you silent? I have a huge sense of guilt, but if I spoke then , when I was a recent graduate student wanting to realize myself in Bulgaria, who would have heard me”.
