DFB plans double international matches in Cologne and Leipzig

According to information from the “Sportbuzzer” portal, the German Football Association is planning home game doubles for the first time. Accordingly, there should be a test match in the same stadium six days before the Nations League game on October 13 in Cologne against Switzerland. And three days before the home game of the Nations League on November 14th in Leipzig against Ukraine, a match between the DFB-Elf will take place there on November 11th.

DFB General Secretary Friedrich Curtius told the “Sportbuzzer” on Thursday: “Our plans currently provide that we will play the home games of the Nations League in Stuttgart in September, in Cologne in October and in Leipzig in November. We also want to be in Cologne and Leipzig also make up for the two failed test matches from the first half of the year. ” The start of the Nations League is planned for the national team of coach Joachim Löw for September 3rd in Stuttgart against Switzerland.

Curtius hopes that the games can take place in front of fans again in the fall. “Not in front of full ranks and of course on the condition that there won’t be a second wave,” he said.
