FC Bayern Munich is the defending champion and is again a big favorite for the cup success. Munich have survived the first four rounds and can prepare for the semi-finals in April.

The ARD shows nine live games in this year’s DFB Cup season. The broadcaster broadcasts one game each in the first and second round, two games from the eighth to the semi-finals. The final also broadcasts the first live. The Pay TV broadcaster Sky broadcasts all 63 games of the DFB Cup live, as individual games and in the conference.
