Ubisoft Montreal it seems to be under attack, with one or more terrorists who entered the offices of the publisher’s Canadian division holding in hostage of developers, with the Montreal Police on the scene.
We have no confirmation of the matter yet, but several sources and even general media are covering up the fact, reporting that there is currently a police operation in place to counter the attack.
“A police operation is currently underway on the corner of Saint-Laurent and St Viateur, we ask people to avoid the area. The SPVM is currently evaluating the information and more details will come later.”
A SWAT team was added to the police force, apparently ready to intervene, an ambulance, in case of injuries, and a helicopter, which would be patrolling the area to monitor the roof of the building, where there would be dozens of Ubisoft employees barricaded.
Some employees of the company confirmed the situation. Part of the team would be outside the offices, but there would be many Ubisoft employees still inside.
