Deutsche Bank Survey: Consumer Skepticism Towards Bitcoin Receding, Prices Expected to Plummet by End of Year

According to a survey released by Deutsche Bank on April 8th, although consumer skepticism towards the crypto asset (virtual currency) Bitcoin has receded somewhat, just under one-third of respondents still expect to see it by the end of this year. [ロンドン 8日 ロイター] – According to a survey released by Deutsche Bank on the 8th, consumer skepticism towards the crypto asset (virtual currency) Bitcoin has receded somewhat, but just under one-third of respondents still expect it to remain in place until the end of this year. We expect prices to fall sharply.

The survey was conducted among more than 3,600 consumers. 52% said crypto assets will become an “important asset class and payment transaction method” in the future. In a survey conducted in September last year, it was less than 40%.

Additionally, one-third of U.S. respondents expect Bitcoin to fall below $20,000 by the end of this year. This answer was 35% in February and 36% in January.

The number of people who believe that crypto assets are just a fad and will eventually decline has decreased to less than 1%.

However, only 10% of respondents expect Bitcoin to exceed $75,000 by the end of the year.

Bitcoin hit a three-week high on the 8th. In March, it hit an all-time high of $73,803.25 (revised), recovering from a sharp decline in 2022.

Analysts at Deutsche Bank said they expect prices to be supported by Bitcoin’s halving, regulation and central bank interest rate cuts. Expectations that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will approve exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that track physical Ethereum are another source of support.

*Due to a correction in English, the all-time high price in the 6th paragraph has been corrected from “$73,794” to “$73,803.25.”
