Deutsche Bahn and state of Bremen invest 2.5 million euros to create longer train space on Bremen-Bremerhaven route

On the Bremen-Bremerhaven route, Deutsche Bahn and the state of Bremen are creating more space for longer trains in the Bremen-Oslebshausen, -Burg, -Lesum and -Schönebeck stations. Work in Oslebshausen will start on Tuesday, June 13th. The other three stations will follow from July 17th. Around 2.5 million euros will be invested. The outer and central platforms served by the Regio S-Bahn line 1 will each be extended to a length of 180 meters and will receive modern lighting systems, tactile guidance systems and signage. The work is expected to be completed in autumn. Work is also done at night. From August 4th to 14th, the Lesum and Schönebeck stations will be completely closed. The respective transport company will inform you about the changes to the timetable. (pm/mcw)
