Since April cares Lisa Weigert about the city marketing of the city of Pressath. The 25-year-old comes from the Saxon Oberlausitz in the district of Bautzen. “After a few detours, I ended up in Tremmersdorf in the Upper Palatinate,” she says and laughs.

Passionate about marketing and event planning

Weigert graduated from high school in Eisenach in 2017 and studied multimedia marketing in Schmakalden, graduating with a bachelor’s degree. Through various internships she discovered her passion for marketing and event planning. She came across the position as city marketing manager by chance via the social media platform Instagram.

“I immediately applied because it combines everything I like to do,” she explains, “I live in such a beautiful environment with great and helpful people that I can give something back to them with my work.” Her focus she sees in family, youth and senior work. She would like to create spaces of encounter for a common togetherness and exchange.

Many current projects

Weigert is currently working on a concept for the former BRK room in the House of Clubs. The repair café, parent-child meetings, breakfasts and a children’s youth club are to be set up here. Pressath is to become a fair trade city, the digital city memory is to be developed and she is working on the holiday leisure program. In addition, the first KiesiBeach Open Air is coming up in September.

Weigert adds: “I could never do my job as well without the helpers around me. I can only realize so many projects with the help of the clubs, the administration and the city association. At this point, a very big thank you.”
