The exact toll is yet to be determined, but it has been said that it will be between $9 and $23. Members noted that those drivers who paid to enter the city, for example residents of New Jersey who cross into the Big Apple will have a discount on the congestion toll if they want to drive below 60th Street.

However, at the meeting on Monday, the board highlighted that the toll will have certain restrictions and not all drivers will have to pay the same amount.
Members noted that those drivers who paid to enter the city, for example New Jersey residents crossing into the Big Apple, will get a discount on the congestion toll if they want to drive below 60th Street.
The TMRB offers four alternative “crossing credits,” or discounts, that could bring relief to the pockets of drivers who pay to cross into Manhattan through the Lincoln or Holland tunnel, but has not yet made a final decision.
A $7 crossover credit. A $5 crossover credit. A $5 crossover credit, but a bigger discount for the night. A $4 crossover credit.
Drivers going through the Midtown Tunnel could also get the same credit. There will be no credit for those who cross the George Washington Bridge and continue driving under 60th Street heading south.
Exact values and other official price exemptions will be announced later in October.
