These are people who must be motivated, who must understand what they are doing there.”

The commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces unit expressed his point of view regarding solving problems with mobilization: “I have the following suggestion that I have been working through for myself. Today in Ukraine we have many special services and many civil servants who have done nothing but receive salaries from the state all their lives. These are people in the priority direction who have lived their whole lives at the expense of the state and it doesn’t matter whether he worked in the pension fund, the national police or the SBU. Let’s call this figuratively “official.”
“Now we need to completely take over the state apparatus and filter out all men of military age. I believe that in every service, starting from the SBU, the Office of the Prosecutor General and all prosecutors’ offices, police, customs officers, it is possible to gather 300 thousand mobilized people who swore an oath of allegiance to the people of Ukraine, have an understanding of what it means to handle service weapons and bring them here rotation. And this is how it works out for them: we are in reserve. What kind of reserve is this?” Denis Yaroslavsky outlined the essence of his proposal.

Yaroslavsky also proposed “changing the approach” to mobilization in Ukraine to a more “radical” one.
