CIREBON, KOMPAS.com – The fatal accident occurred at Km 186 of the Cipali Toll Road, Kempek Village, Gempol District, Cirebon Regency, West Java on Saturday (25/2/2023). This accident involved a tourist transport bus with a rice transport truck.
Head of the Cirebon Police Traffic Unit, AKP Endang Kusnandar, said that the accident started when the Habibah Jaya Kencana tourism bus with police number K 7031 OB was traveling from Banten to Yogyakarta.

The bus driver allegedly lost control and crashed into the back of a truck carrying rice with police number B 9038 FYT. The two cars were coming from the same direction.
“This tourism bus hit the back of a truck loaded with rice on the same route. The front of the bus was damaged,” said Endang when met at the mortuary of Arjawinangun Hospital, Cirebon Regency, Saturday (25/2/2023).
As a result of this incident, three people died at the scene. While two other people died in hospital.
Not only that, this fatal accident also resulted in one victim being seriously injured. Then eleven other victims were injured and received medical treatment at Mitra Plumbon Hospital. All the victims came from the tourist bus.
As of Saturday night, a number of police officers were still identifying and examining several witnesses to determine the cause of this deadly accident.
