Since November 2019, 1,620 cases of dengue fever have been biologically confirmed in Martinique. 5 serious cases were hospitalized and one death was deplored in February 2020.
All of the epidemiological surveillance indicators for dengue have confirmed for almost 6 weeks a tendency to intensify viral circulation in Martinique.
Between November 4, 2019 and May 31, 2020, the estimated cumulative number of clinically suggestive cases of dengue fever is 5,200 cases.

The most affected southern municipalities

27 out of 34 municipalities are affected by the virus at this stage. The most affected sectors are the municipalities of southern Martinique, including Rivière-Salée, Sainte-Anne, Sainte-Luce, Le Marin and Trois-Ilets, which have shown virtually uninterrupted viral circulation for several months.
