Demonstrations against vaccine requirements in France

In Paris, a vaccine opponent on the far right wing spearheaded a large crowd. Protesters have been provoked by the new corona rules announced by President Emmanuel Macron last week.

The participants shouted “Freedom!” and carried posters with slogans against “medical dictatorship” and Macron. There were also demonstrations in Strasbourg, Lille, Montpellier and elsewhere in France.

Macron’s new measures are introduced to stop the spread of the delta variant of the coronavirus and prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed by a new wave of hospitalizations.

All health workers have been ordered to be vaccinated by 15 September. Corona passes must also be required in all restaurants, bars, hospitals, shopping centers, aircraft and trains.
